History of WPAJ Should you have any questions that are not answered within this page, please email at sirpsychosexy@westernpajuggalos.com Deface Marketing owns you now? Well, not exactly. See, after a lot of talking and getting Sorg drunk a few times, Dr. Espling talked us into joining up and making Sorg a Vice President of th combined entity. He's been lost to the strip joint since... AIP Juggalos is what WPAJ evolved from. We started it at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a few fellow students. That's one reason WPAJ consists of mostly AIP students and alumni.
We are not currently looking for crew members of WPAJ. We have more than enough to be tossing around new ideas and covering whatever we need done on the site. We don't hand out positions to just anybody. It helps knowing one of us in the inner circle of WPAJ. If you'd still like to help out, though, we do have a Street Team, or if you are able, we're always looking for new DJ's for WPAJ Radio. sirpsychosexy (DJ Sorg) and Chachi started out as DJ's on the PAJ Radio after being asked by PAJuggalos.com's Assassin. After some ups and downs, Fat Toney hooked us up with our own server and we are now running our own for WPAJRadio.com, and we now function as our own entity. UPDATE Yeh, the radio went down in mid 2006 and became too much trouble to manage. The Wrestling Mayhem Show and Missfit Advice Hour existed on the new platform of Podcasting and enjoyed great success in the ashes. When do the comics get updated? Comics are updated as they come in. Nate Da Mac and JuggaloJohn are very busy students at the Art Institute and don't always have time, but always deliver on the freshness whenever they can, as do all the members of WPAJ. Can you post my website/mini/etc? Drop any of us an email if you would like some help getting the word out. If it's something fresh, we'll put the fullest behind it. Hit up the contact form! Can you help me with my website? Most of the ninjas on WPAJ are busy ninjas. Most of us have school or careers we're working on and do WPAJ in our spare time. If we're online and you catch us, we're probably just trying to chill or working on the site itself. So no promises.
I guess I start by going into our roots. Originally started as AIP Juggalos (Art Institute of Pittsburgh) in November of 2001, we wanted to join together the Juggalos we knew were in the woodwork of our school. JuggaloJohn, Dingo, Snackz, and myself at the design level, brought it online at Aipjuggalos.tripod.com, where our web space currently still resides. In the progress and growth of the site, I was hanging with several juggalos back in my hometown of Greenville and Jamestown (mostly Chachi) and I felt they were left out of the loop and I wanted to include a wider span of juggalos in this thing. This combined with the fact the Pittsburgh Juggalos was in one of its many periods of duress at the time, I saw fit to expand our horizons and Western PA Juggalos was born. Through an unfortunate circumstance with another PJ incident, leading to the breaking off of a renegade PJ faction to reform into the new PittsburghJuggalos.net, WPAJ gained popularity as Kryptik declared that we were THE source for Juggalo Day info in they're regrouping period. And the culmination of WPAJ and PJ's efforts came to a head on August 10, 2002 at PittsburghJuggalos.net's Juggalo Day 2002 at Kennywood park in Pittsburgh. over 60 juggalos were in the group picture alone and there were plenty around the park who weren't even included in it. Its a year later, and PJ and WPAJ combined full force efforts on Juggalo Day 3 to more than double the 80+ of JD2 to at least 200 Juggalos that year. WPAJ has come into its own popularity on the web with new features such as a new Juggalo web comic inspired by Penny Arcade and their brethren, and advice colum, and other shit. We have a small "merch line" so you can rep the WPAJ shit wherever. In August of 2003, WPAJ realized their server could have been run better by monkeys with alzheimer's. So we moved for the greener pastures of a different host. We bounced back. In early 2004, WPAJ worked in conjunction with The Near Professionals at the Vault Theater in Natrona, PA to put on the very first Juggalo Comedy Show to an excellent showing. We followed it up with a second show in May of the same year. In 2005 , WPAJ had their own Radio station to send out the audio fresness to the juggalos in the area and, as always, are working behind the scenes on some new freshness. Sorgstock, not seen since 2001, also returned under the banner of WPAJ with friends in Twisted Thoughts and No Clue, as well as the first ever look at CRAP! In 2006, WPAJ celebrated their 5th year in existence with a Halloween Bash helped along with their new friend, Basick Sickness at the hkan Hookah Lounge in Pittsburgh. Sorgstock came back with two editions, the RWF was exploding, and the Wrestling Mayhem Show rose from the ashes of WPAJRadio.com! Sorg also got featured in Blender Magazine and the City Paper....of Pittsburgh!!
2007 sees the combined forces of WesternPAJuggalos.com and Deface Marketing going where no Juggalo site has gone before!!! The Mission: Not being content with being "just another" ICP fan site, you won't see the few features that occupy almost every other Juggalo site (Who is ICP, Who is Twiztid, What is a Juggalo, Phat or Whack, etc.) on WPAJ. If you don't know who ICP and Twiztid are, or don't know what a Juggalo is then you strolled into the wrong dark corner of the web. This site is meant to be the catalyst for the community that the juggalo family has developed into. And to incite these qualities and bring the juggalos that are your very neighbors together. The music and fondness for running with the hatchet is just a commonality to base these gatherings and events. This site also wants to make a difference. As we stand at this point, we've accomplished a few notable things alone and with the help of Pittsburgh Juggalos. The 60+ showing at PJ's Juggalo Day 2, over 150 at PJ's Juggalo Day 3, bringing Zug Izland to air play on Pittsburgh's 105.9 the X, Comedy shows, concerts, Podcasts, news articles, and more!
What you can do: We started with AIP Juggalos and bringing people to the site with flyers. If you want to find out if there's any juggalos in hiding where ever you are at, especially in college, just throw up some flyers to turn some heads. At school, at shows, the fucking McDonald's in your hometown for all I fucking care. I offer this site and message board as a community to connect with other juggalos. See the Street Team section for more info.
